HEB Navigation Buoy

The light is powered by two internal flywheel permanent magnet generators.
The HEB’s design helps prevent being it sucked down by current.

HEB Power Buoy

Could encorporate in addition to the two small internal generators, a linear permanent magnet generator driven by the wave rise and fall for power generation variant.

TIDAL and WAVE Variant

This is only to illustrate a further possible area for the HEB We don’t expect this to be pursued at the moment.

The HEB could be used to produce both wave energy and energy from tidal current at the same time.
The barrel rolls on the waves, rising and falling to drive both hub and linear or flywheel permanent magnet generators.
Energy could be produced simultaneously by the tidal current rotating the barrel.
In this way the HEB would provide a more constant energy output being dormant only at slack tide when the surface is flat calm.

The HEB is allowed to rotate around a post which is attached to the seabed. Some device to raise and lower the HEB in sync with tide would be needed.

Shown here is a possible design for the support pylon which would adapt to tidal depth change.
